Football Recap: Trinity Skates Past Simon Kenton with Ease + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Trinity had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 50-0 victory over the Simon Kenton Pioneers. Winning may never get old, but the Shamrocks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Trinity's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Warner, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those 98 receiving yards gave Warner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Lowe, who threw for 141 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Trinity proved: they limited Simon Kenton to a paltry -0.6 yards per carry. The Shamrocks' ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Liam Sellinger, Lowe, Cross Watson, and Will Howard picked up one apiece.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Simon Kenton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Trinity will square off against Ryle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests. Simon Kenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
