Baseball Recap: Seckinger Beats Chattahoochee for Their Third Straight Victory

Seckinger had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Chattahoochee Cougars get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-8 win last Wednesday.

Landon Niemotka tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one).

On the hitting side, Seckinger saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden O'Brien, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. John Moreno was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Seckinger's record now sits at 11-4. As for Chattahoochee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seckinger will head out to take on Johns Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seckinger is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Chattahoochee, they are taking a road trip to face off against Campbell at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
