Softball Recap: Seneca Indians vs. Aurora Houn Dawgs
Seneca was the 13-11 winner over Aurora when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houn Dawgs on Tuesday. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Houn Dawgs since Tuesday.
Kynlee Sommer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Kordy Hancock was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
