Soccer Game Preview: Ramona vs. Fallbrook

Ramona hasn't had much luck against Fallbrook recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ramona fell victim to Rancho Bernardo and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Broncos. One thing that didn't help Ramona's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Vanessa Estrada.

Meanwhile, Fallbrook had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give Fallbrook's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Stephanie Ruiz, who's now up to two this season.

Fallbrook's win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Ramona, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-4-3.

Ramona came up short against Fallbrook in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
