Lincoln Southwest faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Silver Hawks blew past the Bearcats 8-0. Considering the Silver Hawks have won 21 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Siefken, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brenly Noerrlinger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lincoln Southwest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matchups.

Lincoln Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Kearney, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 24-11 record.

As of now, neither Lincoln Southwest nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
