Basketball Recap: San Clemente Gets the Win

San Clemente extended their postseason success on Saturday against Rolling Hills Prep. They walked away with a 72-59 win over the Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Tritons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklyn Hall, who posted 21 points. That was a full 35.6% of Rolling Hills Prep's points, marking the third time in a row Hall has put up more than a third of the team's points. Leah Sasaki was another key player, shooting 46% from the field to rack up 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for San Clemente and bumps their season record up to 17-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Rolling Hills Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Looking ahead, San Clemente will challenge Crescenta Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tritons will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests. Rolling Hills Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
