The Broomfield Eagles will take on the Eaglecrest Raptors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Broomfield sitting on 17 straight victories and Eaglecrest on four.
Broomfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Fossil Ridge. Considering the Eagles have won 15 contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaitlyn Halliday was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Broomfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .536 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Eaglecrest faced Erie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raptors came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 4-1.
Zaya Elliott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on 12 hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Haisley Elliott, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lexi Barger, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
Eaglecrest's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Broomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 24-2.
Everything went Broomfield's way against Eaglecrest when the teams last played on October 6th, as Broomfield made off with a 14-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
