Football Recap: Greene Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Greene Central's last matchup with Ayden - Grifton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Rams had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Chargers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Joshua Cetnar threw for 43 yards on four of 16 attempts. On the ground, Dejuan Cobb rushed for 63 yards.

EJ Ruffin produced another solid effort rushing for 113 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries for Ayden - Grifton. The team also got some help courtesy of Loyalty Fuller, who gained 79 total yards.

Greene Central is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. As for Ayden - Grifton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Meanwhile, Ayden - Grifton will square off against rival Tarboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ruffin and Kamerin McDowell-Moore.
