Baseball Game Preview: Denison Yellow Jackets vs. Sherman Bearcats

The Denison Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to square off against the Sherman Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Last Tuesday, Denison didn't have quite enough to beat Greenville and fell 2-1.

Denison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Bustillos, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Bustillos' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Sherman fell victim to Frisco and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Raccoons.

Denison's loss dropped their record down to 8-20-1. As for Sherman, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1.

Denison came up short against Sherman in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 5-0. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
