Recap: Redlands East Valley vs. Montclair
The Redlands East Valley Wildcats and the Montclair Cavaliers squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Redlands East Valley Wildcats had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Redlands East Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Montclair is ranked 94th).
Redlands East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-8-2. As for Montclair, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-1-2 record this season.
Redlands East Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montclair, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 victory vs. Oak Hills on the 10th.
