Soccer Game Preview: Pella vs. Dallas Center-Grimes

Pella is 0-8 against Dallas Center-Grimes since April of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Dutch will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Pella's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Pella turned things around against Pella Christian on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Pella got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Meanwhile, Dallas Center-Grimes entered their tilt with Durant on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Wildcats. Give Dallas Center-Grimes' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Dallas Center-Grimes pushed their record up to 11-3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Pella's draw makes their record 6-3-4 this season.

Pella might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Dallas Center-Grimes when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Dutch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
