Football Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Holy Cross and Archbishop Rummel had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers came up short against the Raiders on Friday, falling 24-3. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Holy Cross dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Archbishop Rummel, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holy Cross will take on rival St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on November 1. Meanwhile, Archbishop Rummel is set to face off against their familiar foe Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
