Soccer Game Preview: King vs. Poly

The King Wolves and the Poly Bears will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. King will be strutting in after a win while Poly will be coming in after a loss.

Poly better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if King's game on Friday is any indication, that's when King really gets things going. Everything went Wolves' way against Rancho Verde as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Lucy Allen and Gianinna Barillas scored all three of King's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Poly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Vista Murrieta.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for King, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-3.
