Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Schuylkill Haven

Schuylkill Haven won the last time they faced Tamaqua, and Kylie Siket did her part to make sure it happened again. The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes walked away with a 47-34 victory over the Tamaqua Blue Raiders on Monday thanks in part to Siket, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Tamaqua's loss came despite strong showings from Lauren Ligenza and Millie Black. Ligenza dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards, while Black almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Black has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last five times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Schuylkill Haven and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Tamaqua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-3.

Schuylkill Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-25 victory against Panther Valley on the 15th. Tamaqua has also already played their next contest, a 52-39 win against Pottsville on the 16th.
