Where every NFL Week 1 quarterback went to high school

Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season kicks off tonight with a Thursday Night Football showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions. Breaking down the 53-man rosters of the league's 32 teams, California high schools have produced the most quarterbacks with 12, including seven starters – Josh Allen, Derek Carr, Jared Goff, Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers, C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young.

Texas follows with 11 active quarterbacks headlined by starters Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Matthew Stafford and Ryan Tannehill.

Florida has nine highlighted by starters Lamar Jackson, Mac Jones, Anthony Richardson and Geno Smith while Georgia has eight spotlighted by starters Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson.

Ohio (4) and Missouri (3) are the only other states with more than two signal callers on active rosters.
