Soccer Recap: Rancho San Juan Comes Up Short

Rancho San Juan and North Monterey County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Rancho San Juan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the North Monterey County Condors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Condors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in December of 2024.

Rancho San Juan dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Monterey County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Rancho San Juan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Monterey County, they will challenge Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday. Sacred Heart Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Monterey County surely won't give up without a fight.
