Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

La Costa Canyon is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Friday. Neither La Costa Canyon nor St. Ignatius College Preparatory could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, San Pasqual managed to keep up with Mission Hills until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. San Pasqual lost 4-1 to Mission Hills.

La Costa Canyon's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-1. As for San Pasqual, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

La Costa Canyon took their victory against San Pasqual when the teams last played back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Costa Canyon since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
