Baseball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper blew South Spencer out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday South Spencer got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 4-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for South Spencer, their win bumped their record up to 6-18.

Looking ahead, Jasper will take on Evansville North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.9, the Huskies 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for South Spencer, they will head out to take on Heritage Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
