Basketball Game Preview: Brea Olinda Wildcats vs. Oak Hills Bulldogs

The Brea Olinda Wildcats will take on the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brea Olinda comes in on eight and Oak Hills on seven.

Brea Olinda is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They strolled past Fontana with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Steelers are ranked 417th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brea Olinda's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Wang, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Liz Han, who put up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills beat Roosevelt 56-46 on Thursday.

Oak Hills pushed their record up to 16-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points over those games. As for Brea Olinda, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.

Everything came up roses for Brea Olinda against Oak Hills when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-22 win. Will Brea Olinda repeat their success, or does Oak Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
