Marysville came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Chapman, but Audiel Becker wouldn't allow it. The Irish put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 36-16 win on Friday with plenty of help from Becker, who rushed for 245 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.3 rushing yards per game.

Chapman's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brecken Francis, Isaac VanMeter, and Neziah Brown, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Chapman's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Marysville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapman will welcome Rock Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Irish will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Marysville, they will be playing at home against Clay Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
