Baseball Recap: Drew Charter Takes a Loss

After flying high against Columbia on Thursday, Drew Charter came back down to earth. Drew Charter came up short against the Lovett Lions on Friday, falling 11-1.

Drew Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Lovett, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Drew Charter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kennesaw Mountain at 5:55 p.m. on the 16th. As for Lovett, they will challenge Woodward Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
