Dickson had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Marietta on Tuesday. The Comets were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Indians. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Dickson pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Marietta, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Looking ahead, Dickson will challenge Turner at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Marietta, they will take on Pauls Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
