Football Game Preview: Cypress Christian Warriors vs. Bishop Reicher Catholic Cougars

After each having a week off, the Cypress Christian Warriors and the Bishop Reicher Catholic Cougars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Bishop Reicher Catholic likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Cypress Christian took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-14 victory over Bishop Gorman.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bishop Reicher Catholic took on Texas Legacy last Saturday. The Cougars lost 26-0 to the Lions. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Cypress Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Bishop Reicher Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Cypress Christian came up short against Bishop Reicher Catholic in their previous meeting back in November of 2016, falling 45-41. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
