Basketball Recap: Penn-Trafford Warriors vs. Oakland Catholic
After a string of six wins, the Penn-Trafford Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-30 defeat at the hands of Oakland Catholic. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Penn-Trafford in their matchups with the : they've now lost nine in a row.
Penn-Trafford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Olivia Pepple, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Hanna Weishaar, who scored six points.
Penn-Trafford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Oakland Catholic, they pushed their record up to 20-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing McKeesport the next time they take the court. Penn-Trafford will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
