Softball Recap: Omaha North Takes a Loss

Omaha North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the South Sioux City Cardinals, falling 14-6.

Sa'Nya Gilmore made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jayla Turner also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Omaha North's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for South Sioux City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Omaha North has already played their next contest, a 14-2 defeat against Omaha South on the 28th. As for South Sioux City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 30th.
