Softball Recap: Grandview Find Success

Grandview won the last time they faced Grand Junction and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wolves walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Christi Birx spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Grandview saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Donaldson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double. Peyton Rasmussen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grandview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matches.

Grandview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against ThunderRidge on the 26th. As for Grand Junction, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Rifle on the 27th.
