Soccer Game Preview: Rincon/University vs. Sunnyside

Rincon/University hasn't had much luck against Sunnyside recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rangers will challenge the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m.

Rincon/University is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Tucson High Magnet School on Monday. They fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Pedro Vega as he scored three goals for his team.

Rincon/University's loss dropped their record down to 11-6-2. As for Sunnyside, their win bumped their record up to 18-1-2.

Rincon/University suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Sunnyside in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
