Soccer Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett lost against Grayson back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets came up short against the Rams, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, South Gwinnett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Grayson are ranked 13th).

South Gwinnett dropped their record down to 6-9-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Grayson, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Looking ahead, South Gwinnett will square off against Rockdale County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Gwinnett are facing Rockdale County at the right time seeing as Rockdale County are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Grayson, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Archer on the 3rd.
