Chavez and Poly are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Parrots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chavez's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Chavez took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Monroe a 1-0 shutout. Sherlyn Martinez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Chavez.

Meanwhile, Poly beat Arleta 2-0 on Monday.

Chavez moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak. As for Poly, their record now sits at 3-4-1.

Chavez couldn't quite get it done against Poly when the teams last played back in January as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
