Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Eagles vs. Artesia Pioneers

Glenn is 0-10 against Artesia since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Glenn Eagles will challenge the Artesia Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Glenn is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were beaten by Whitney 65-24. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Meanwhile, Artesia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-21 loss at the hands of Cerritos. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1099th, while the Dons are ranked 476th).

Artesia's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Glenn suffered a grim 35-11 defeat to Artesia when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Glenn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
