Basketball Recap: Alcona Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gavin Dellar and Edju Hechlik + How To Watch

Alcona fought the good fight in their overtime game against Hillman on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillman. Alcona was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hillman apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, Alcona had strong showings from Edju Hechlik, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards, and Gavin Dellar, who went 8-for-14 en route to 17 points and three steals. Dellar is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Hillman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eddie Prue, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evan Crane, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Alcona's record now sits at 1-1. As for Hillman, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
