Basketball Recap: Mt. Eden Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Encinal, Mt. Eden was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Hayward Farmers with a 43-37 victory. This was payback for the Monarchs, who suffered a 55-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Eden's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Hayward, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season.

Mt. Eden has already played their next contest (against Arroyo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hayward will host Encinal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Encinal will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Hayward surely won't give up without a fight.
