Baseball Game Preview: Lancaster Flying Arrows vs. River Valley Blackhawks

Lancaster hasn't had much luck against River Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Flying Arrows will head out to square off against the Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m.

Lancaster lost 10-4 to Potosi/Cassville on Monday.

Meanwhile, River Valley got the win against Ithaca on Saturday by a conclusive 20-1. That 19-run margin sets a new team best for the Blackhawks this season.

The victory made it two in a row for River Valley and bumps their season record up to 6-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Lancaster was able to grind out a solid victory over River Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flying Arrows since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
