Baseball Game Preview: North Polars vs. Centennial Cougars

The North Polars will face off against the Centennial Cougars at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

North came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mankato East, falling 9-2.

Centennial came out on top against White Bear Lake on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bears 10-8. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
