Baseball Recap: Tattnall County Takes a Loss

Tattnall County lost against Appling County last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tattnall County might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-1 to Appling County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Bailey Blair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Tattnall County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Peyton Finnerty, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Tattnall County's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Appling County, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-9.

Coming up, Tattnall County will challenge Crisp County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Appling County, they will face off against Vidalia at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
