Central East has gone 9-1 against Clovis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bengals will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Central East sitting on six straight wins and Clovis on five.
Central East and Clovis West faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Bengals walked away with a 46-39 victory over the Golden Eagles.

A big part of Central East's win came down to the chemistry between Jelani Dippel and his top target Kevin Cooks. Dippel threw for 372 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt while Cooks picked up 150 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 150 receiving yards gave Cooks a new career-high.
Central East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 287 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clovis West only rushed for 140.
Clovis hadn't beaten Clovis East on the road since October 22, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Cougars breezed past the Timberwolves to the tune of 42-15. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Deagan Rose and Jamie Spurgeon. Rose had a great game and threw for 243 yards and three TDs. Meanwhile, Spurgeon was balling out in the loss, throwing for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Clovis' defense made their presence known, laying out Spurgeon three times. James Curoso refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Central East's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Clovis, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Dippel and Rose. Dippel just won't slow down this season and has thrown 26 touchdowns (and and only 4 pick) while averaging 289 passing yards per game. Rose has been a dominant force too and has thrown 22 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 249.4 passing yards per game.
Central East took their victory against Clovis in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 41-20 score. In that game, the Bengals amassed a halftime lead of 27-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
