In Friday's league match, the host Central East Bengals football squad scored a good 61-49 victory over the Clovis Cougars.

The Bengals (8-1) will now prepare for their match against Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Bears enter the Tri-River match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Buchanan thwarted Clovis East (Clovis, CA), 14-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Clovis West for a Tri-River battle on Friday, October 31. Clovis will play a Golden Eagles team coming off a 30-24 league win over Clovis North (Fresno, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-2.
