Volleyball Recap: Surry Central's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Surry Central entered their tilt with North Surry on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Surry Central was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 13-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Surry Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenzie Hooker out in front who had 42 assists and 16 digs. Hooker is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Smith, who had 21 digs, ten kills, two aces, and one block.

Surry Central's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for North Surry, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.

Surry Central and North Surry should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Golden Eagles will square off against North Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (209 vs. 571). Meanwhile, North Surry (ranked 148th) will meet Mount Airy (ranked 327th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
