Basketball Recap: Souderton Takes a Loss

Souderton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 40-21 bruising from the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Plymouth Whitemarsh was led to victory by Mckenna Winland and Aj Avery. Winland went 7 of 12 en route to 19 points, while Avery posted nine points in addition to seven boards and five assists. That's the most assists Avery has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliza Meersman, who had four points and seven rebounds.

Souderton's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6.

Souderton will take on Pennridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-31 win against Mt. St. Joseph Academy on the 20th.
