Basketball Game Preview: Taft Wildcats vs. Tehachapi Warriors + How To Watch

Taft hasn't had much luck against Tehachapi recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Taft came up short against Stockdale and fell 48-38. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 11-5 in the first quarter.

The losing side was boosted by Issac Rhoten, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Acen McKnight, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tehachapi, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 65-38 win over Burroughs. That looming 65-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tehachapi, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Taft came up short against Tehachapi in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 72-66. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
