Sandia is  a perfect 10-0 against Manzano since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Matadors will challenge the Monarchs at 6:00  p.m. Manzano took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sandia, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with seven  defeats in a row, Sandia  turned things around against Capital  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp  3-0 win. The Matadors not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since November 5, 2024 (when they won  3-0).
 Sandia not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Capital between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21,  25-18.
Meanwhile,  Manzano unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against  Santa Fe, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Monarchs have suffered  since November 8, 2024.
 The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19,  25-19.
 Sandia's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
 Sandia was able to grind out a solid  win over Manzano when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, winning  3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
