Taylor County's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Marion County Eagles a 7-0 shutout. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Taylor County's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Marion County, they moved to 10-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Taylor County and Marion County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Vikings will take on Rutland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (74 vs. 356). Meanwhile, Marion County (ranked 96th) will meet Pataula Charter Academy (ranked 336th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
