Basketball Recap: Avon Grove Charter Takes a Loss

Avon Grove Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 37-27 to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Falcon. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-8 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Avon Grove Charter lost, don't look at Jaelyn Brison. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and four steals. Brison has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Hostert, who earned eight points.

Avon Grove Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Avon Grove Charter will face off against West Nottingham at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, they will head out to face off against Tome at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
