Notre Dame-Green Pond entered their tilt with Bangor on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Bangor Slaters by a score of 44-33. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Slaters are ranked 397th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Bangor had strong showings from Mya Bartosh, who posted six points and ten boards, and Aubrie Labar, who scored eight points and five rebounds. Bangor is 8-3 when Bartosh posts ten or more boards, but 3-5 otherwise.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Bangor, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Moravian Academy the next time they take the court. Notre Dame-Green Pond will head out to face Moravian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Bangor will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
