Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Rylie Fitzsimmons and Tierney Hamilton Lead MAST Community Charter to Victory

On Tuesday, the MAST Community Charter Panthers strolled past String Theory with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. The Panthers pushed the score to 44-10 by the end of the third, a deficit String Theory cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading MAST Community Charter to victory were Tierney Hamilton and Rylie Fitzsimmons. Hamilton went 8 for 18 on her way to 19 points and three steals, while Fitzsimmons dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Those 19 points gave Hamilton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lena Mulray, who posted seven points along with six steals and five assists.

MAST Community Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

MAST Community Charter pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for String Theory, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.

MAST Community Charter will venture away from home to take on Morrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. String Theory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
