Softball Recap: Denver Has No Trouble Against Aplington-Parkersburg

After only two runs in their last match, Denver made sure to put some runs up on the board against Aplington-Parkersburg on Monday. The Cyclones blew past the Falcons 12-2. Considering the Cyclones have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Denver has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Denver will welcome Wapsie Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will take on South Hardin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
