Soccer Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

Patrick Henry was the 6-1 winner over Point Loma when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patrick Henry Patriots fell just short of the Point Loma Pointers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Patriots couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Briahna Gieger, who's now up to six this season.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Point Loma, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Patrick Henry will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Point Loma, they will take on Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Our Lady of Peace is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
