Soccer Recap: Parkview Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Parkview and Norcross had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Parkview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Norcross are ranked sixth).

Parkview's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Norcross, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkview will venture away from home to challenge May River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norcross, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pinecrest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
