Baseball Recap: Southeast Bulloch Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Southeast Bulloch took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Benedictine, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Benedictine Cadets on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cade Harnage spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has become a key player for Southeast Bulloch: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Southeast Bulloch's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Grams, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Grams' first of the season.

Southeast Bulloch pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Benedictine, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Southeast Bulloch will have a chance to go back-to-back against Benedictine: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
