Union County was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ringgold on Thursday. The Panthers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Union County's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Ringgold, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will square off against North Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ringgold, they will be playing at home against LaFayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ramblers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
